Jalapeño Cheeseburger Poppers

Ingredients

  • 6 Jalapeño peppers
  • ½ lb - Ground beef, cooked
  • ⅓ cup - Cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp - Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 Slices of bacon, halfway cooked
  • 12 Slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp - Black pepper
  • 1 cup - Hickory and/or apple wood chips

Preparation

  1. Preheat your grill for indirect;
  2. Mix the ground beef, creme cheese, worcestershire sauce and black pepper together;
  3. Cut the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and core the interior, fully or partially depending how you like them hot. Fill each half jalapeños with the ground beef mixture, top with a slice of cheddar cheese and wrap with half a slice of halfway cooked bacon;
  4. Thread each poppers onto skewers. Toss a handful of hickory and/or apple wood chips onto hot coals and cook in indirect for about 20 minutes or until the bacon is done.
