Kentucky Bourbon Beef Jerky

Ingredients

  • 2 lb - Beef round
  • 1 tbsp - Paprika
  • ½ tbsp - Onion powder
  • 1 tbsp - Brown sugar
  • ½ tbsp - Cayenne pepper flakes
  • ½ tbsp - Garlic powder
  • ½ tbsp - Ground black pepper
  • ½ cup - Soy sauce
  • ½ cup - Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup - Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey
  • Apple & Hickory wood chunks

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients except the beef into a bowl;
  2. Cut the beef roast into thin slices of about 1/8 to 1/4 inches thick, then put the beef slices into the marinade and let them marinate in the fridge overnight;
  3. Remove the beef slices from the marinades and pat them dry using paper towels;
  4. Smoke for about 5 to 7 hours at 180°F using apple and hickory wood chunks.
